EDUCATION
This sub-section lists completed impact evaluations
of projects in the education sector. There is a
broad consensus that one of the most effective means
of preventing children from entering child labour is
to extend and strengthen schooling, so that families
can have the opportunity to invest in their
children’s education, and that the returns from
schooling make it worthwhile for them to do so. More
accessible and better quality schools affect the
returns to schooling vis-à-vis child labour, making
the former more attractive as an alternative to the
latter.
